10th Senate :  New Deputy Minority Leader, Lere Oyewunmi, Thanks Constituents, Gov Adeleke, Deji Adeleke For Their Support In Acceptance Speech

After getting officially named as Deputy Minority Leader of the 10th Senate on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, Senator Lere Oyewunmi of Osun West has expressed gratitude to his constituents for their support and for being with him ‘all the way’.

Oyewunmi, a former member of the House of Representatives, who was also a three-term Chairman of Irewole Local Government, and the Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun state,   later served as Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC).

Senator Lere Oyewumi , in his acceptance speech,  also  thanked  Governor Ademola Adeleke and a business mogul, Dr Deji Adeleke, for their support.

‘It is with utmost humility and a great sense of responsibility that I express my deepest appreciation for this honor to be elected as the Deputy Minority Leader of the 10th Senate today, July  4, 2023.

The call to serve the nation in this capacity is one I am truly grateful for and will forever cherish.

I would like to thank the good people of Osun West Senatorial District, who have reposed their trust in me by electing me to the Senate. It is your unwavering support that has brought me to this position today. As I take on this responsibility, I promise to uphold your trust and work tirelessly to fulfill the responsibilities that come with being your representative at the Red Chamber, as well as the Deputy Minority Leader of the 10th Senate.

It is therefore important to acknowledge and appreciate the important role played by an achiever par excellence and philanthropist, Dr. Deji Adeleke and the people’s governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, I thank them for their support always. I will forever grateful
