1445 AH Hajj: Gov Idris Appoints Ex-Gov Saidu Dakingari As Amir-li-Hajj
Kebbi state governor, Dr Nasir Idris, has approved the appointment of one of his predecessors , Alhaji Saidu Dakingari, as Amirul Hajj and leader of the state delegation to Mecca and Medinah for the 1445 AH Hajj exercise.
Executive Chairman , Kebbi state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, noted in a statement he issued in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday that a Permanent Secretary in the State Cabinet Office, Alhaji Malami Shekare-Muhammad, would serve as secretary.
He added that Justice Umar Abubakar would serve as Deputy Amirul Hajj while Abubakar Mohammed-Kana, Alhaji Usman Baraya, Muhammad Bello-Yakubu, Abubakar Aminu-Gulumbe, Abubakar Sulaiman-Fana, Garba Abubakar Talba, Mohammad Musa-Tungulawa, Justice Suleiman Ambursa (rtd), Muhammad Fanna-Zaruma, Aishatu Abubakar-Gunabi and Rufa’i Aliyu-Yauri were named as members.
Aliyu-Enabo added that the terms of reference for the delegation include supervision of the entire Hajj activities and coming up with suggestions on how best to improve future operations.
‘To ensure compliance with all agreements reached between the state Pilgrims Welfare Board (PWB), the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), and the airline operators.
