17-Year-Old Boy Who Took 14-Year-Old -Girl To Hotel Claims She Died After Falling In The Bathroom…Police Launch Probe
A 17-year-old boy, Lucky Okubo has been arrested and taken into custody by the police in Bayelsa state.
He was arrested in connection with the death of a 14-year-old girl, Shallon Ebitare, in a hotel in Yenagoa, the state capital.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Lucky had taken Shallon to the hospitality outfit to have sex with her.
Spokesman for the state police command, Musa Mohammed, who disclosed this in a statement he issued on Friday, said the suspect was arrested by officers attached to the Ekeki division, while adding that the Commissioner of Police, Alonyenu Idu, has ordered a discreet investigation into the incident.
The police said the suspect claimed to have taken the teenage girl to the hotel to have sexual intercourse with her.
‘Acting on credible intelligence, cops attached to the Bayelsa state Police Command apprehended a suspect in connection with the suspected murder of one Shallon Ebitare, a 14-year-old resident of Akaibiri community in Yenagoa Local Government .
The suspect, one Lucky Okubo, ‘m’, aged 17, who was arrested by policemen attached to the Ekeki Divisional Police Headquarters, upon interrogation, said he took the deceased young girl to a hotel, where he intended to have carnal knowledge with her.
The suspect claimed that Shallon went to the bathroom to take her bath but fell and sustained injuries. Sequel to this, he invited the hotel manager who assisted in taking the deceased girl to the FMC, Yenagoa, where she was declared as a brought in dead patient by the medical doctor on duty.
The suspect is in custody at the SCID, Yenagoa, while the investigation continues with a view to ascertaining the cause of death.
