2 Arrested As Police Rescue Abducted Resident In Kwara
Haruna Ahmadu, a resident of Kwara State, who was apparently kidnapped and kept at a hideout, has been rescued by the police.
Spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, a Superintendent of Police, who disclosed this in a statement she issued in Ilorin on Thursday and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com, also noted that two people have been arrested and taken into custody while adding that a manhunt has been launched for other members of the gang.
’The Kwara State Police Command has recorded yet another operational success in its sustained onslaught against criminal elements in the state. Acting on credible intelligence, a combined team of cops and vigilantes rescued one Haruna Ahamadu unhurt from kidnappers’ den in Omu-Aran forest. Two suspects, Ayisa Ibrahim (female) and Yakubu Hassan (male), are currently in custody, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo psc, mnips commended the professionalism and dedication of the officers involved, assuring members of the public that the state police Command remains fully committed to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety of all residents. He further reiterated that investigations are progressing steadily with promising leads already being pursued.
