2 Cattle Herders Who Raped 8- Month Pregnant Woman In Abuja Remanded In Custody
An area court in Gwagwalada , Abuja on Tuesday ordered that two cattle herders who had pleaded guilty and confirmed their involvement in the abduction of a pregnant woman should be remanded in a correctional centre until March 22.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the prosecutor, Dabo Yakubu had earlier told the court that the defendants; Nuru Tukur (21) and Yusufa Haruna (29), on February 25, abducted a woman, who was eight- month pregnant, from her house in Abaji Area Council , Abuja, they took her to the bush and the two of them raped her.
He said the matter was later reported at the Gwagwalada Area Command office by Abubakar Wakili of Yaba , Abaji Area Council on February 26.
Yakubu added that on February 25, the two chaps had abducted the victim from her residence in Abaji Area Council , took her to the bush and raped her despite being heavily pregnant.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 96, 262, 264, 387 of the Penal Code.
The Judge, Malam Abdullahi Abdulkarim, later deferred his ruling submitting that he would like to know the present condition of the victim before doing so- Team@orientactualmags.com
