£20,000 Needed To Transport Body Of Nigerian Woman Who Died In UK Shortly After Arriving There For Her Son’s Graduation Ceremony
A Nigerian woman, Mrs. Oluranti Akinyemi, who had left the country for the United Kingdom to attend her son’s graduation ceremony, is dead.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that she died shortly after arriving in the United Kingdom and she could not attend the event as planned. That was not all, £20,000 is needed to transport her body to Nigeria and take care of other bills.
Funds are being raised and 97 people have made £2,087 available as of Wednesday.
Adekunle Ogundana in what was posted on ‘JustGiving’ said the funds would be used for transportation of her body and funeral expenses.
‘Help us bring our sister, mother, friend and beloved home, Mrs Oluranti Olufunmilayo Esther Akinyemi (née Oluwalana/Ogundana).
She suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of the night and was rushed to Luton and Dunstable Hospital. After three days on life support, she was declared clinically dead’ Adekunle submitted.
The family of the deceased woman has described the incident as sudden and devastating, noting that funds are urgently needed to transport her body to Nigeria, settle outstanding medical bills in the UK, and cover funeral expenses.
Akinyemi, a mother of four, reportedly arrived in the UK on February 11, 2026, for a graduation ceremony that was scheduled to hold on February 18.
