2018 Offa Dacoity: Kwara High Court Sets ‘Tentative’ August 2 Date For Ruling
The Kwara state High Court, Ilorin, disclosed on Monday that it would on August 2, 2024, deliver its ruling in the Offa bank robbery case that began about six years ago .
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Justice Haleema Salman, who presided over the court session that was held on Monday, however noted that it is a ‘tentative date’.
Recall that a fatal bank robbery incident occurred in Offa, Kwara state, on April 5, 2018, which claimed the lives of 30 people including nine policemen.
Five young men; Ayoade Akinrinbosun, Azeez Salahudeen, Niyi Ogundiran, Ibikunle Ogunleye and Adeola Abraham, who were arrested by the police in connection with the incident, were arraigned on November 11, 2018.

Ayoade Akinnibosun, and four others had since then faced charges bordering on illegal possession of firearm, murder, among others.
One of the robbery suspects, Micheal Adikwe had died in police custody while the remaining five suspects had pleaded not guilty.
The suspects ,who had for about six years now faced trial in respect of the incident in question, returned to court on Monday.
Justice Haleema Salman adopted the final written addresses that contained arguments of the prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacob (SAN) and Mathew Emeribe, the defence counsel and announced August 2,2024, as tentative date for ruling-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
