PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar , has promised to aggressively tackle youth employment if elected as president next year, promising to ensure that ten billion dollars is earmarked for youth empowerment programmes in order to make the young people in the country get gainfully employed and earn a decent living .
While noting that Kwara state connects the north and the south, he lamented that the interstate roads are now in a deplorable state because the roads infrastructure provided by the PDP –led administrations were not maintained by the APC government. He has therefore promised that his administration will fix such roads.
He also lamented the worsening security situation in the country promising to end safety fears and ensure security of lives and property if elected as president next year.
While submitting that there is ‘insecurity’ everywhere in the country which he called one of the failures of the APC government, Atiku advised Nigerians to reject getting deceived and misled. ‘Don’t let them come here to deceive you or tell you lies’ he said.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Atiku said this while addressing party members and supporters during the PDP North Central Presidential Campaign rally held at the Metropolitan Square, Ilorin on Thursday.
‘Four years ago, they came here, they told you lies , have you now seen the outcome of the lies they told you? Have they performed better than the PDP? ‘Lailai we no go vote for APC again’ , PDP has come to return Kwara to the mainstream and I appeal to you to vote for all PDP candidates next year’ he said .
National Chairman of the party, former senator Iyorchia Ayu, said PDP is one big united family for all adding that the party has come to rescue the country .
He said Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was actually elected as the party’s presidential candidate because ‘he is a unifier who will rebuild the country’.
Ayu noted that the time has come to vote for all the PDP candidates adding that this should be done next year.
PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa also asked Nigerians to vote for the party in the next year’s presidential election saying ‘everyone is tired of insecurity and hunger’ , he also condemned the APC-led administration for allowing students at public universities to stay at home for more than eight months while saying the PDP leaders would on Sunday this week, attend the inauguration ceremony of former senator Ademola Adeleke as sixth executive governor of Osun state in Osogbo which will according to him mark the beginning of the taking over of South West and the entire country.
Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki said Atiku will rebuild Nigeria if elected as president , the PDP presidential candidate will also according to him end insecurity, hunger and address all the problems facing the country.
He urged Kwarans to vote for Atiku Abubakar , who , he noted, had professed and shown his love for Kwarans right from his relationship with his late father, Dr Olusola Saraki.
‘If you want hunger and insecurity to continue, vote for APC if you want to recover Nigeria, vote for PDP, 2019 has come and gone , we have learned our lessons, they came with propaganda and lies the only man that can rescue Nigeria is Atiku Abubakar that was why I said alihamduliah that God has protected his life and made him come back now to take charge and ensure Nigeria gets into the right direction.
‘It is time for us to kick out a non performing APC Government’ he said.
Saraki also told Kwarans that they were aware that he had never deceived them and will always stand for them at all times.
The former senate president added that he fought for democracy because he believes in it, noting that the time has come therefore to vote out ‘an incompetent government and party’.
Saraki also condemned the current administration in Kwara state for according to him saying they are clearing the rots of sixteen years asking if the rots include the Government House where the governor stays and receive visitors?
Kwara state PDP gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdulahi also submitted that in 2019, the mantle of leadership in the state fell from ‘a performing government to a government that doesn’t know what to do or how to care about the people’s welfare’ . He urged Kwarans to do the needful by voting for PDP candidates in the upcoming General election.
He also claimed that in the 55 years that Kwara state had existed, the total debts before the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration came on board was N59 billion but that this now stands at N114 billion as the current administration has added N55 billion to it.
He added that should Kwarans allow the governor to get re-elected in 2027, the debts will increase to N300 billion and that there may be no funds to attend to people’s needs.
Highlights of the event include presentation of party’s flags to the Kwara state PDP gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdulahi and his running mate, Hon Gbenga Makanjuola by former senator Iyorchia Ayu- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
