Ahead of the 2023 general election, Governor Nyesom Wike, has asked residents and citizens of Rivers state to vote for the governorship, house of assembly and national assembly candidates in the state while noting however that decision on what to do with respect to the presidential election will be held in abeyance.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned Wike said this on Tuesday during the inauguration of Rukpokwu-Rumuapu-Izo-Ogbodo Igwuruta Link Road at Rumuapu, Obio-Akpor Local Government , Rivers state.
Wike is the leader of the G-5 governors that had for months now expressed their dissatisfaction with former Senator Iyorchia Ayu’s continued stay in office and they had since announced the formation of ‘Integrity Group’.
They have insisted that Ayu must resign from his position as PDP National Chairman.
While asking Rivers state people to await his instructions with regard to the presidential election , Wike expressed the hope that the people will vote for whoever he chooses.
‘I will tell you where we will vote. These ones (governorship, senate, reps and state assemblies candidates) I mentioned, make sure you come and vote for them.
Very soon, we’ll meet in our houses and take a decision on where we are going .
You will work for a party that has come to your aid, a party that has brought dividends of democracy. If the people of Rukpokwu are not happy, will they be here? Governance is all about the happiness of the people.
