.

Earlier, the  Federal Commissioner , NPC, Kwara state,  Alhaji Abdulrazaq Gidado  had commended the trainees for their perseverance and patience while urging them to transfer the knowledge they  had acquired to the supervisors and enumerators at the local government level.

The training programme ends today, 5 February 2023.

The NPC Commissioner appealed to all Nigerians to take advantage of the 2023 census and make themselves available for enumeration as this would go a long way in helping the government to plan adequately well for the nation’s future .

Gidado said such  an opportunity would only come again after ten years hence the need to be part of this exercise.

He expressed concern over the low population figure of the state in the last census and urged Kwarans to ensure they make themselves available for enumeration.

Alhaji Gidado also promised that the commission would do the needful to ensure the security of all its  functionaries  in collaboration with  the traditional rulers and all security agencies.

In his remarks, the State Director of NPC, Mallam Saheed Yusuf appreciated the trainees and implored them to impart the knowledge they had acquired  to the Supervisors and Enumerators as their assignment would determine the accuracy and quality of the data for the exercise.

Responding on behalf of the trainees, Professor AbdulRasheed Adeoye , a lecturer at the University of Ilorin, pledged that they would work assiduously to justify what they have been assigned to do and appreciated the commission for giving them the opportunity to serve.

He commended the commission for making the 2023 census exercise technology-driven  which, he noted, would make it more accurate and credible- Team@orientactualmags.com
