Ahead of the 2023 Presidential election, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state , has expressed the need to have Nigerians living abroad around to vote and mobilize support for the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during the weekend in Newark, New Jersey, United States at The Bola Ahmed Tinubu ( BAT) Summit (Awards & Dinner) which was organized by the Nigeria Diaspora for Asiwaju ( North America), the Governor emphasized the need to work hard in respect of the BAT Project to strengthen national growth and unity.
Governor Abdulrasaq’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday that the governor was represented at the event by a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Kwara state, Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin, who delivered his speech. Pictures taken at the event were also made available.
It will be recalled that Kwara state PDP had in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its state Publicity Secretary , Hon Tunji Morounfoye on Saturday claimed that the governor attended the event and also condemned the US trip.
‘You must organize, you must sensitize, you must mobilize and you must vote’ Abdulrahman said.
The Governor, an avowed Tinubu campaigner, who described Asiwaju as a foremost supporter of the OtoGe Movement in Kwara state, spoke on the topic: ‘A NEW NIGERIA IS POSSIBLE WITH ASIWAJU/SHETTIMA’.
AbdulRazaq noted that the summit demonstrated that Nigerians in Diaspora rooting for Asiwaju were already organizing and sensitizing themselves to the need to have a Tinubu presidency.
‘However, you now need to go beyond just organizing and sensitizing yourselves; you need to sensitize and mobilize Nigerians at home who value your contributions to their economic wellbeing” he said.
The Governor told the Diaspora BAT devotees that ultimately, they must visit Nigeria to cast their ballot for Asiwaju and other APC Candidates.
“It is heart-warming that a sizeable number of Nigerians in Diaspora registered at home to vote. You must go home and vote. Your vote is more than the individual ballot you cast. Your vote has a spiral effect on our people who value you and see you as role models, and pillars of support” he added.
AbdulRazaq eulogized Asiwaju Tinubu for his contribution to the growth of Democracy and National Development in Nigeria and on the African continent.
“You have a good product to market. In Leadership and Governance, Asiwaju has been extraordinarily exemplary. He is an uncommon Leader of Leaders, an accomplished Public Officer’ he said.
Recounting Tinubu’s remarkable exploits in Lagos as Governor, AbdulRazaq said Nigeria stands to gain immensely from a Tinubu presidency.
“Given the challenges that Nigeria faces and will face in the emerging world, Asiwaju is the best man for the job in 2023. He is best-suited to continue the good work of President Mohammadu Buhari’ the Governor submitted- Team@orientactualmags.com
