2023 Imo Guber Election: Its ‘Sweeping Victory’ For APC As Gov Hope Uzodinma Wins Re-election
Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state has won re-election.
The governor, who was the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the gubernatorial election held on Saturday, November 11, earned a ‘sweeping victory’ as he has won in all the 27 Local Governments in the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in announcing Uzodinma as winner of the guber election noted that he got a total of 540, 008 votes.
The PDP guber candidate got 71, 503 votes while the Labour Party governorship candidate, Athan Achonu had 64, 081 votes.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that INEC Returning Officer, Professor Abayomi Sunday, who is the Vice -Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Ekiti state, declared Uzodinma winner of the guber election at the state collation centre in Owerri, the state capital, on Sunday morning.
Governor Hope Uzodimma (APC): has 540,308 votes, Samuel Anyanwu (PDP)- 71,503 votes, Athan Achonu (LP) – 64, 081 votes, Tony Ejiogu (APGA)- 6,392 votes and Jack Ogunewe (AA) : 5,756 votes-Team@orientactualmags.com
