Kwara state PDP gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdulahi asserted on Monday that the State of Harmony will become a PDP-controlled state this year while denying allegations that he was indicted or involved in any fraud case.
Yaman’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy , Alhaji Wahab Oba in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com said it had become a cause of worry that the PDP guber candidate had been subjected to vicious calumny in recent times.
‘The attention of the media office of the gubernatorial candidate of the Kwara state Peoples Democratic Candidate, Alh. Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi has been drawn to sustained and provocative media propaganda against our principal.
At one point, the baseless and inflammatory media attack alleged that Alh Yaman has been flown to India for medical attention. When that contemptuous evocation did not resonate with the teeming people, the hired purveyors of fake news spewed out another lie that Yaman has agreed to withdraw from the guber race to endorse another party’s candidate. That again fell flat’ the statement said.
Yaman has called the latest attempt to harm his reputation as ‘another malicious, disdainful and unsubstantiated allegations of corruption’.
‘Now, it is another malicious, disdainful and unsubstantiated allegation of corruption. against Alh. Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi, a man whose main credentials going into the governorship race are unblemished track records of fiscal responsibility and strategic, administrative and leadership skills.
A few days to the Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections, we expect more of these apprehensive and disdainful attacks on only the Peoples Democratic Party’s Candidate, which understandably are reflective of the reality that he remains the only credible alternative to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who is weighed down by unprecedented debt burden and unfilled promises of minimum wage, payment of salary arrears, the disparity in the salaries of SUBEB and TESCOM teachers and payments of outstanding pensions and gratuities of state pensioners’ the statement added.
Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman , who said he remains committed to bringing prosperity to Kwara through sustainable growth and development of infrastructure, also asserted that himself or his company had never been accused, investigated or indicted by any government or security agencies.
Submitting that he has received awards of excellence from governments and individuals for every of his professional service, Yaman added that ‘the records are there for all to verify’.
The PDP guber candidate, who stated readiness to work with other parties and progressives to redirect the affairs of the state to the path of glory where every tendency will be equal stakeholder, however noted that withdrawing from the race was not on the table while predicting victory for his party.
‘We call on AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to account for the N17.9b he kept in a financial institution, N18.6b infrastructure support fund, N14.2b SUBEB counterpart fund and more than N110b allegedly generated by KWIRS on his watch, rather than engaging in unprofitable political propaganda.
We call on the governor to pay workers of the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin and the College of Arabic and Islamic Studies their January and February salaries rather than recklessly continuing to share the meagre resources belonging to the state as political largesse’ the statement submitted- Team@orientactualmags.com
