2023: Oshiomole  Discloses What He’ll  Prioritize As Senator, Warns Nigerians Against Voting For Peter Obi

Edo North APC senate candidate, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has  disclosed what would be his priority if he gets elected as a member of the Nigerian Senate next year.

He has also hit out at  the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Chief  Peter Obi,  accusing him of playing a role and ‘contributing to how Nigeria is going down’.

Team@orientactualmags.com  learned Oshiomhole said this during his campaign kickoff   in Auchi, Edo state at the weekend.

The former APC National Chairman  urged Nigerians to be careful  and avoid the idea of supporting  Obi,  describing him  as one who had failed to develop and grow the economy of Anambra state  during his governorship.

Obi also according to him owns a shopping mall in Abuja where only imported items are sold.

‘Obi owns the biggest shopping mall in Abuja and all the items sold there are imported, so if he is selling imported wines, clothes and other items, he is contributing to why Nigeria is going down because he is creating job opportunities abroad and importing unemployment to Nigeria’ he said.

Oshiomole also  said he may not focus attention on ‘empowerment programmes’ like distribution of motorcycles , tricycles and grinding machines to the young people and widows but rather work with others to  reform the nation’s budgetary system so that budget will work for the people.

‘I am troubled by the way we manage our budget at the National Assembly. I want to go there and argue on the floor of the senate that we should change our budgetary system. Our budget must work for the people.

I want to be a Senator, not a Senator sharing grinding machines for widows, buying motor bikes or Keke Napeps for 10 out of 10,000 young people. I don’t need to be a senator to support widows and young people. I have done that and I am still doing that, today I am paying school fees for people who don’t have money to go to school’ he said.

The former Edo state governor added that  if he could  hit the streets to  fight for the ordinary Nigerians as president of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, he would even fight harder on the floor of the senate to ensure that Edo North Senatorial district and Nigeria as a whole benefit more from the national Assembly.

‘I can’t have N500 million for constituency project and go and buy Keke napeps motor bikes and grinding machines, that is not lawmaking.

The minister of works told me that the problem why road constructions are not completed is that the National Assembly will take half of the money budgeted for a road and approved four other roads on that approved fund, this is why we have unfinished roads all over Nigeria’ he said.

Oshiomole  urged Nigerians to vote for a person with a track record of performance  asserting  that among the  presidential candidates,   Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu ,stands out as a great performer.

‘Tinubu is the most suitable  and the best candidate to become president in 2023, They are throw stones at him because they have seen that they can’t dispute his performance. They said he didn’t go to school but they say he was the treasurer of Mobil oil company. Will an oil company employ someone as chief accountant or treasurer if he didn’t go to school?

You have seen how Tinubu transformed Lagos, when he see a performing young person, he mentors  and grows him to become a leader. That is why he has produced governors, senators, ministers among others. So Tinubu is the one who will bring up young Nigerians and mentor them’ he said.

Obi and  the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar can’t according to him unify Nigeria, calling them serial defectors that can’t be trusted.

‘Atiku defected from the PDP to the ACN, when he lost the election, he decamped to the PDP, he contested and lost and defected to APC, he again defected to the PDP and contested with Buhari and lost and now he still contesting. Can you vote for such a candidate? he asked- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us? Do you want us to cover your event or programme?
