2023 Sokoto Guber Election: Tribunal To Deliver Ruling Saturday
The Sokoto state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal will on Saturday , September 30, 2023, deliver ruling on the petition filed by the PDP candidate in the gubernatorial election held in the state on March 18 , 2023, Alhaji Sa’idu Umar.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Secretary of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, Sunday Martins, Esq, disclosed this on Wednesday. He noted that ruling will be delivered with regard to the petition marked EPT/SK/GOV/01/2023 on Saturday at 9 am.
‘Take notice that Petition No EPT/SK/GOV/01/2023 will be coming up on Saturday, 30/09/2023 at 9:00 am for judgment.
Counsels are advised to inform their clients that supporters would not be allowed into the court premises as movement would be highly restricted by the security agencies’ he submitted.
The tribunal had reserved judgment in respect of the petition last month.
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Haruna Mshelia, had done this after the parties adopted their final written addresses, while noting that the ruling will be delivered in September.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto winner of the guber election in question and he had since gotten sworn in as governor on May 29, 2023.
