2024 Democracy Day: Senator Saliu Mustapha Felicitates Nigerians, Urges Commitment To Democratic Values
Representative of Kwara Central in the senate, who is also the Turaki of Ilorin, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day.
The Senator in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his media aide, Mr Nasif Sholagberu reflected on Nigeria’s journey towards freedom, justice, and democratic governance noting that June 12 ‘is more than just a date on the calendar’ as ‘it symbolizes the collective will of the Nigerian people and the enduring spirit of democracy’.
He has also called on Nigerians to embrace patriotism and renew their commitment to democratic values, including equality, accountability, transparency and respect for human rights.
‘Our democracy remains work in progress, and each citizen has a vital role in nurturing and sustaining it. By coming together and setting aside differences, we can build a stronger, more inclusive Nigeria’ the statement added.
