2024 Edo Guber: Ganduje Affirms Idahosa’s Candidacy, Issues Statement To Congratulate Him

Hon Dennis Idahosa ,who was among the three gubernatorial aspirants that got declared as winners of the three separate APC primary elections that were held in Edo state on Saturday has had his candidacy affirmed by the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje ..

Idahosa, who represents Ovia South/West-Ovia North/East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,  got  40,483  votes in the primary election that was held in Benin city on Saturday while Senator Monday Okpebholo (Edo Central) got 100 votes. 

The primary election that was held at Protea Hotel  was supervised by a committee headed by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state.

Recall that Senator Monday Okpebholo was announced as Edo state APC Guber candidate by the State Returning Officer, Ogbuaja Uzoamaka, in Benin on Saturday while Anamero Sunday Dekeri, a member of the House of representatives, who represents  Etsako Federal Constituency, also got declared as winner of separate primary election that was held in the state making him the third person to lay claims to the party’s guber nomination.

Governorship election will hold in the state on September 21, 2024.

APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje has however sent a message of congratulations to only Hon Dennis Idahosa 

 Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Ganduje in a statement issued in Abuja by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu has also called for unity of effort to ensure the party’s victory in the upcoming guber election.

‘I want to congratulate the winner of the Edo State governorship election, I want to equally commend and appreciate Governor Hope Uzodimma’s election committee for their hard work and the transparent manner in which the primary election was conducted.

At this point, I want to call on all the aspirants to bury the hatchet and work for the interest of the party so that our party will emerge victorious’ he said.
