2026 Ekiti Guber: Kayode Ojo Leaves For Abuja To Seek Remedial Action After Getting Disqualified
Mr. Kayode Ojo, who was on Thursday disqualified from participating in the Ekiti State APC gubernatorial primary election scheduled to hold on Monday, October 27, 2025, has reportedly suspended ‘consultation’ meetings and left the state for Abuja to seek a remedial action.
One of his supporters told Team@orientactualmags.com on Thursday night that his disqualification will not stand while adding that what was announced by the APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon Duro Meseko was not a ‘collective decision’ .
He described Kayode Ojo as a popular candidate who cannot be stopped through amusing political intrigues.
Recall that Mr Kayode Ojo, had gotten provisional clearance to participate in the primary election following his failure to secure the mandatory five nominators per local government.
The Screening Committee headed by Tola Olawuyi had noted that the National Working Committee (NWC) will have the final say on the issue.
Hon Duro Meseko however submitted on Thursday that only Governor Abiodun Oyebanji and Omolayo Oluremi are left to compete and seek gubernatorial nomination.
Recall that Governor Biodun Oyebanji has had a full grip of party structures in the state and he has masterfully cultivated network of loyalists across the state, despite facing a fierce opposition from the camp led by Minister of Solid Minerals, Mr. Henry Dele Alake.
Chief Kayode Ojo, who many still refer to as the real winner of the 2022 APC gubernatorial primary election, is staging a comeback and he is doing everything humanly possible to get party nomination and he is getting things done at full strength this time around-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
