2026 Guber: Group Proposes Bola Oyebamiji As Osun APC ‘Consensus Candidate’, Presents His ‘Value Proposition’
Ahead of the 2026 Osun State APC gubernatorial primary, a political support group in the party, the Earliest Ilerioluwa Caucus, has proposed one of the gubernatorial aspirants, Hon Bola Oyebamiji as the party’s ‘consensus candidate’ .
Osun State APC gubernatorial primary is scheduled to hold on December 13,2025.
Recall that Hon Oyebamiji, a former Commissioner for Finance, resigned from his position as Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) a few days ago.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Earliest IleriOluwa Caucus held a rally in Iwo to drum up support for Oyebamiji during which its leaders submitted that the former commissioner remains the most experienced and electable among the guber aspirants.
Chairman of the group, Hon Yekeen Abilagbo said Oyebamiji’s record in public service has positioned him as the right choice for the party.
‘Bola Oyebamiji has shown that he has the capacity to lead this state to prosperity. He was Commissioner for Finance under two administrations and he performed exceptionally well.
He was also appointed by the Federal Government, and within the two years that he served as the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, his impact was widely felt. We want somebody like that, and we hope that he emerges as the party’s candidate and the next governor of Osun State’ he said.
An APC chieftain from Iwo, Taofeeq Adeniyi, who spoke in the same vein, submitted that while all the party’s governorship aspirants are qualified, Oyebamiji however stands out for his competence and leadership qualities. ‘All the aspirants are qualified; they are even better than the present governor.
