2027: Moshood Aigoro Announces Bid For Governor, Gets Set To Hold Empowerment Programme In Ilorin Tomorrow

Man about town, Alhaji Moshood Aigoro , has declared that he would be bidding to become the governor of Kwara State in 2027, and he has also disclosed and asserted that genuine desire to help others and change things for the better in the State of Harmony motivated him.

Alhaji Moshood Aigoro ,a businessman, and a politician, also told Team@orientactualmags.com that he has remained an altruistic person because he is public-spirited.
Noting that he had begun to impact lives in Kwara State in 1984 when he launched the Aigoro Foundation, he also recalled his community development efforts as President of the Kwara Youth Movement which include intervening in Share-Psaragi communal conflict, settling the differences between Alhaji LAK Jimoh and Alhaji Alaro, among others.
Alhaji Moshood Aigoro, an indigene of Ilorin, also recalled making motorcycles available to the young people in the state at N105,000 and also distributing 15 truckloads of Limca umbrellas and coolers to 5,000 women during the Bukola Saraki administration.
While noting that government cannot do it alone, Alhaji Moshood Aigoro urged the well-to-do people in society to impact lives and support the vulnerable people.
He noted that it is not only when someone is seeking for a political office that he or she should impact lives hence his decision to sustain the annual empowerment programme he introduced in 1984.
Aigoro also urged young people in the state not to support politicians because of personal benefits but rather prioritize having a secure future.
Clarifying that encouraging people to take charge of their lives. is different from making grants available to them, Alhaji Moshood Aigoro disclosed plans to flag off an empowerment programme in Ilorin on Thursday, September 26, 2024, targeting 10,000 people as beneficiaries between 2024 and 2027.
‘The empowerment programme will be flagged off in Adewole Estate, Ilorin on Thursday.
We will give each of the beneficiaries a chair, a table , a POS machine and N10,000 cash.
Moneypoint has already trained two people, Hawau and Mrs. Babatunde who will in turn train the beneficiaries.
