2027 Presidential Election: North Central APC Forum Accuses Gov Sule Of ‘Double-Dealing’

2027 Presidential Election: North Central APC Forum Accuses Gov Sule Of ‘Double-Dealing’

Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the North-Central All Progressives Congress Forum on Saturday accused Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State of double-dealing while asking him to clarify whether he is supporting President Bola Tinubu or those who are seeking to stop his re-election

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Forum in a statement issued by its Chairman, Saleh Zazzaga, on Saturday, criticized recent comments made by the governor in respect of the political direction of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) bloc within the APC.

Recall that CPC, APGA, ACN and ANPP had come together to form the APC in 2013, members of the defunct CPC had however reportedly supported the coalition being promoted by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and  Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

While former governor Tanko Al-Makura had led prominent CPC members in pledging allegiance to President Tinubu and the APC, former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami had however asserted that only former President Muhammadu Buhari’s camp of the CPC bloc can determine the decision that would be taken by the group.

Governor Sule had while speaking at a reception in Lafia on May 3,2025,  reportedly supported Malami’s stance,.

‘There is only one person in this world that can decide for the CPC, and that is our father, Muhammadu Buhari. Nobody speaks for the CPC more than this man. The day he says CPC is with you, then CPC is with you. The day he says CPC is not with you, it is not with you. Because he is the CPC himself. He keeps carrying his 12 million voters along with him everywhere he goes’ he was quoted as saying.

The North-Central APC Forum expressed disappointment at Governor Sule’s comments arguing that it contradicts the earlier pledge of allegiance to Tinubu by Al-Makura’s CPC bloc.

‘Abdullahi Sule should stop playing a double-dealing and declare whether he stands with President Bola Tinubu or with those in the camp of former President Buhari, who we know do not wish the Tinubu administration success. Nobody can claim greater authority over the CPC bloc than Alhaji Tanko Al-Makura, who achieved the feat of becoming the only governor elected on the CPC platform, which was pivotal in the formation of the APC.

Governor Abdullahi Sule must make his position clear. Is he with President Bola Tinubu or with those opposing him? If he supports the President, he must stop associating with those working against him and wholeheartedly back the administration.

The North-Central APC Forum stands with the Tanko Al-Makura-led CPC bloc, which has unequivocally pledged loyalty to President Tinubu. Any attempts to downplay this endorsement undermine the unity and progress of the party’ the Forum added.

The North-Central All Progressives Congress Forum also restated its commitment to the current administration headed by President Tinubu and the president’s re-election bid in 2027, urging all party members to support his administration for the benefit of the nation-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
