2nd Phase Of Continuous Voters Registration Begins In Osun Tomorrow

The second phase of Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) will begin in Osun State tomorrow, Monday, January 5, 2026, and the nation’s electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has urged residents of the State of the Living Spring, who are eligible to participate in elections, to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, and participate actively in the democratic process.

The electoral umpire in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Mr Musa Olurode, who is the Public Relations Officer of the Osun State office, noted that this phase of the CVR exercise is to allow those who did not register during the first phase to do so.

‘The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Osun State, wishes to extend its New Year greetings to the good people of Osun State and to reassure the electorate of the electoral body’’s continued commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s democratic process.

INEC hereby informs the general public that the Second Phase of the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) Exercise will commence on Monday, 5th January, 2026, across the state.

This phase of the CVR is intended to provide an opportunity for eligible Nigerians who did not register during the first phase to do so. It is also open to citizens who have attained the age of 18, as well as registered voters who wish to apply for transfer of their PVCs, correction of personal details, or replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

INEC therefore urges all eligible voters in Osun State to take advantage of this exercise, as registration is a constitutional requirement for participation in elections.

The electoral body under the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke’s leadership in Osun State remains committed to conducting a transparent, credible, inclusive, and acceptable electoral process, in strict compliance with the Electoral Act and the Commission’s guidelines.

This renewed commitment forms part of INEC’s ongoing preparations towards the successful conduct of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

Members of the public are advised to obtain further details from INEC offices across the state and the electoral body’s official platforms’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
