32nd Inisha Day: Political Bigwigs, Bankers, Others Gather In Honour Of Kofoworola Lawal
Indigenes of Inisha, Odo-Otin local government, Osun state, and invited guests gathered at the Inisha Park and Gardens , Okua Road, Inisha on Saturday, November 11, 2023, to celebrate the 32nd Inisha Day.
It also featured fundraising for the 300 million naira Inisha Palace building project.
Presiding over the event was the Olunisha of Inishaland, Oba Joseph Oladunjoye Oyedele Fashikun ll, while prominent indigenes of the town including Alhaji Tijani Afolabi Adegbite, Hon Kunle Alao ‘Lele’ , and Professor Gabriel Babawale were the hosts.




Dr Goni Umar Faruk was the Chief Launcher while some among indigenes of the town including Alhaji Ayodabo Abdluraheem Kolawole and Pa Gabriel Fakorede were honoured for their contribution to the development and progress of Inisha.
Engineer Olumide Fatoki and Mrs Koforola Oyedokun Lawal , who are both indigenes of Inisha, were honoured with ‘Star Son’ and ‘Star Daughter’ awards respectively.








The ‘Star Daughter of Inisha’, Mrs. Koforola Oyedokun Lawal, is the daughter of a veteran politician, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, who interestingly is the Olu-Omo of Inisha. The ‘star daughter’ is a Regional Manager at the UBA Plc.

Chief Shuaib Oyedokun at different times served as old Oyo state NPN secretary, Secretary to the old Oyo state Government under Dr Omololu Olunloyo , PDP Deputy National Chairman (South) during Olusegun Obasanjo administration and Chairman of Michael Imodu National Institute for Labour Studies, (MINILS), Ilorin, during the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
Giving his speech during the event, Speaker of Osun state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun, who represents Odo–Otin State Constituency , promised to always support every step taken towards the progress of Inisha noting that the people of the town supported him during electioneering and voted for him in the 2023 house of assembly election which he deeply appreciated and would therefore not take this for granted.



Also speaking, Pastor Bayo Dahunsi , who is the President of Inisha Descendants Union, thanked the state government for rehabilitating roads in the town while expressing the need for solar- powered streetlights in order to enhance night-time economy in Inisha.
He added that indigenes of the town were honoured to encourage and motivate others to emulate them with regard to their role in the development and progress of Inisha.
 Team@orientactualmags.com learned that dignitaries at the event include  Speaker Adewale Egbedun , Caretaker Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government and  Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Osun state,, Hon Sarafadeen Awotunde, Hon Kunle Alao, Chief Tutuola Adebayo, Babakere of Inisha and the Olore of Ore, Osun state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon Rasheed Aderibigbe, Prince Taiwo and Kehinde Abioye , Hon Segun Fadairo, and Hon Omoniyi Oyelade.
Political big wigs at the event later left for the residence of Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun to attend the reception held in honour of his daughter,
