35 Commissioners To Oversee Formations, State Commands As IGP Egbetokun Urges Prioritization Of ‘Policing Vision’, ‘Citizen Safety’
Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the deployment of thirty-five Commissioners of Police to various state commands and formations across the country after getting the go-ahead from the Police Service Commission.
Force PRO, Mr. Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a Chief Superintendent of Police, who disclosed this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday noted that the postings ‘are in line with the commitment of the police leadership to ensuring effective policing, security, and the maintenance of law and order in Nigeria’.
He added that the commissioners of police that have been given new roles include CP Adelesi E. Oluwarotimi , Kwara state Command; CP Adebola Ayinde Hamzat, Oyo state Command; CP Augustina N. Ogbodo , Ebonyi state Command; CP Samuel Titus Musa Kebbi state Command; CP Aderemi Olufemi Adeoye Anambra state Command; CP Auwal Musa , Bauchi state Command; and CP Alamatu Abiodun Mustapha , Ogun state Command, and CP Margaret Ochalla , Police Special Fraud Unit Annex Lagos.
CP Banji Ogunrinde will head the Explosive Ordnance Unit; CP Rhoda A. Olofu , Ports Authority Police Western, Lagos; CP Kareem Musa , Interpol Annex, Lagos; CP Audu Dabigi , Border Patrol Force; CP Abibo D. Reuben, Police Mobile Force; CP Adekunle Ismaila Olusokan , Welfare FHQ, Abuja; CP Omolara Ibidun Oloruntola , Special Fraud Unit FCID, Abuja; and CP Abaniwonda S. Olufemi , Deputy Force Secretary.
The IGP has according him asked the Commissioners of Police in question to key into his policies, vision, and mission for the Nigeria Police Force while mandating them to prioritize the safety and well-being of the citizens that they serve.
He also asked them to ensure adherence to the principles of fairness, professionalism, and respect for human rights while urging them to serve as exemplary leaders, fostering harmonious relationships with other security agencies, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
The Inspector-General of Police has tasked them with promoting intelligence-led policing, proactive crime prevention strategies, and community engagement initiatives that will enhance public trust and confidence in the Nigeria Police Force-Team@orientactualmags.com
