6 Young Men Arrested For Gang-Raping 19-Year-Old Girl In Anambra…Victim’s Mother Says Girls  Raped In The Past Died Within 1 Year

Six  young men;  Afam Ezenwa, Chijioke Ifeanyi, Collins Obadom, Abuchi Okechukwu, Chima Obiekezie and Sunday Okafor have been arrested and taken into custody by the police in Anambra state for allegedly gang-raping a 19-year-old girl.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the incident was recorded in  Anam community, Anambra West Local Government, a few days ago.

The suspects, who are between the ages of 16, 17, 18, 20 and 27 years old, were said to have carried out the act after ambushing and dragging  the girl  into a room, they all had sex with her.

The state Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, in collaboration with security agents in the state ensured that the suspects got arrested…

 Obinabo  said the suspects have been transferred to the state Criminal Investigative Department of Police in Awka,  while charges would soon be preferred against them

She said they were arrested  after a  video  of  how they  gang-raped  the girl surfaced on social media.

‘The ministry and security agents did not only rescue the victim but equally apprehended the suspects and had the case transferred to the state criminal investigative department of police in Awka where they would be taken  to court for their crime.

The high rate of crimes amongst delinquents in Anambra is alarming. Parents and guardians should stop sparing the rod and thereby spoil the child.

The Prof. Chukwuma Soludo administration  will not allow any form of crime to strive in the state, justice will take its full course’ she said.

The victim explained that the incident happened when she visited her maternal home in Oramaetiti and got ambushed by a group of boys who took her to a room and took turns  to have sex with her.

She noted that despite her plea, the suspects did not stop, but continued having sex with her while one of them was filming her.

She also stated that after she was rescued by some neighbours who heard her scream for help, she left for her house only to be accosted on her way home by another set of boys who forced her to remove her panties and give it to them .

 The  victim added that she had to  obey because they threatened to kill her.

The  victim’s mother , who spoke on condition of anonymity, said her daughter was the third  person that would be raped by the  suspects.

They are according to her  known for raping girls and collecting their panties which usually results in their death  after a period of time.

She, therefore, urged the state government not to take the case lightly as her  daughter’s life is at risk because they have not returned the  panties they collected from her-Team@orientactualmags.com
