But we need to know that nation -building is a marathon and an endeavour that requires collective efforts to achieve. I commend the president for his bold reforms and the palliatives to temper its initial fallouts on the people, including the huge efforts to boost food security and critical national infrastructure. This is being complemented at subnational levels with improved infrastructural development, investments in human capital development, and different economic initiatives and social protection measures designed to improve the living conditions of the people.
I join Mr. President and other patriots to appeal for patience and support as we navigate this phase. The fruits will be sweeter for all. Happy Independence Day, dear compatriots!’ he said.

‘No doubt, we, as a sovereign state, have layers of socioeconomic problems facing us. This crisis has made a section of our youth population to lose confidence in the hopeful future of our dear nation. However, Nigeria will be better and stronger and become a place of our dream with continued support and unity.
The challenges we are facing are part of what will make us strong if we collectively find common grounds to solve them regardless of our ethno-religious or political differences. Nigeria is one and should remain one.
Currently, hardship and hunger are a global crisis not peculiar to Nigeria alone. Let us do beyond blaming the government for the economic woes. We in our corners have roles to play from micro to macroeconomic activities to revive our lost vitality in respect of our nation’s economy. We must control our thirst for importation and genuinely patronize local contents in all aspects. There can be no prosperity without productivity.
Let each of us find solutions to one or two problems within our sphere of influence, and gradually, we will begin to close the prosperity gap. We have a growing population that will need food, education, healthcare, effective movement of people, and goods amongst other things. All of these represent avenue of opportunities to improve the productivity of our nation. If you cannot farm, you can think of ways to do more with less through automation or speeding up of processes. Opportunities abound to improve per hectare yields of our farm lands.
With our strong belief in Nigeria’s steady progress, we will overcome our challenges as a nation. Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria’ he submitted.

This year’s Independence Day serves as a reminder that through love for our Country and a shared sense of purpose, we can overcome any obstacles.
By nurturing these values in every citizen, we will pave the way for a united, strong, and hopeful Nigeria for generations to come.
