7 Die As Bus Rams Into Tricycle In Osogbo …Govt Delegation Visits Family Who Lost Man, 3 Children

An auto crash that was recorded on Ring Road, Osogbo , Osun state capital, on Wednesday morning has left seven people dead.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that an oncoming commercial bus which had RBC15 ZN as its registration plate suddenly left its lane ,crossed into the other lane and rammed into a tricycle and a motorcycle opposite the WOCDIF event centre.
Confirming the incident, Spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC in Osun state, Agnes Ogungbemi said the accident was caused by speeding and tire blowout on the part of the driver of the commercial bus.
‘Four persons died on the spot, four injured persons were taken to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, three of the injured victims were later confirmed dead and one female child is undergoing treatment’ she submitted while adding that the bus, tricycle and the motorcycle involved in the crash have been taken to the Dugbe Police Divisional headquarters , Osogbo.
In the meanwhile, the state Government has promised to pay the injured victims’ medical bills, and this was disclosed by Secretary to the state government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye when he led a delegation of government officials to the Osogbo residence of the family that lost a man and his three children.
Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi , who was also a member of the delegation, disclosed this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday.
Hon. Tesleem Igbalaye conveyed Governor Adeleke’s condolence message to the grieving family while assuring that the state government will do everything possible to ensure that the survivors receive the needed medical attention.
“We are here on the instruction of Governor Adeleke ,who is currently out of the state, to condole with you on the unfortunate incident that happened yesterday. We pray that God almighty gives you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
I was directed to also inform you that the state government will take charge of all the medical bills of the children currently undergoing treatment at Uniosun Teaching Hospital (UTH) until they recover fully’ Hon Igbalaye noted.
The team later left for the Uniosun Teaching Hospital to assess the condition of the surviving children where they are currently receiving medical care.


Received by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Peter Olaitan ,who led the government officials to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital complex, Hon. Igbalaye told the management team of the hospital to ensure adequate treatment of the children while assuring that the state government will pay their medical bills.
“The governor has directed that the children’s medical bills should be paid by the state government, kindly ensure that all necessary steps and procedures are taken to ensure speedy recovery of the injured children’ he added.
