70th Birthday: Osun APC Chieftains Pay Thank-You Visit To Ataoja For Attending Reception Held In Honour Of Oyetola In Osogbo
Some chieftains of Osun State APC paid a thank-you visit to the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun at his palace in Osogbo on Thursday.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the Osun State APC delegation was led by former Deputy Governor, Mrs. Grace Titilayo Ponle while adding that former Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye; former Deputy Speaker, Hon. Akintunde Adegboye; former Chairman, Osun State Health Insurance Agency, Hon. Adeoye Adelakun; former Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Sola Oladepo; Oyetola’s former Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Evangelist Rasak Adeosun; Assistant APC State Secretary, Comrade Waheed Adediran, and former Local Government Chairmen were also members of the delegation.
The statement noted that the visit was to express profound appreciation to the monarch and also pay homage to the revered traditional ruler.
Hon. Timothy Owoeye appreciated the monarch for taking time out to grace the event held to mark the 70th birthday of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola in Osogbo on Sunday.
The former Speaker, who headed the planning committee for Oyetola’s 70th birthday, noted that the presence of Ataoja and other traditional rulers added colour to the event while lauding the royal father for his fatherly role to all, especially members of the progressive family in the state and beyond.
Also speaking, Mrs. Titilayo Ponle expressed gratitude to the monarch for being a shining star among traditional rulers in the country while commending him for having unflinching love for the ancient town .
In his remarks, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, expressed delight over the visit, saying it is a clear testimony of the existing shared love between the palace and the progressive family.
Oba Olanipekun, who restated his unwavering commitment to the growth, progress and development of the ancient town and its environs, noted that he is irrevocably committed to all affairs capable of taking Osogbo to enviable height.
