78-Year-Old Man Who Was Hit With Wooden Plank By Grandson During Argument Dies In Osun

78-year-old Akanbi Adedoyin has died two days after been allegedly hit with a wooden plank by his grandson, Kusibe during an argument over ownership of a farmland.
The incident happened in Ilare-Ijesha, Obokun local government, Osun state last week Monday.
‘We were asked to take him to Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa, for more treatment but because of the severity of the head injury we could not do so. There was no money for further treatment.
He eventually died two days later. I arrived at the scene of the crime early but there was no one with the grandfather and Kusibe when the incident happened. We heard a scream and rushed down. The old man said Kusibe hit him in the head. He lost so much blood. We were told to go to Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa but we could not. The man eventually died. The incident happened on Monday, but the man died on Wednesday’ a resident of the town was quoted to have submitted.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Kusibe is already facing charges and court ordered that he should be remanded in a custodial centre last week.
The Owalare of Ilare, Oba Adejoro Otebolaku, has urged the police to ensure that justice is served in the matter in order to serve as deterrent while spokesperson for the state Police command, Yemisi Opalola, said preliminary investigation revealed that Kusibe attacked his grandfather during argument over ownership of a farmland.
‘It is true. Kusibe allegedly hit the grandfather, 78, in the head after an argument bordering on ownership of a farmland. He was arrested and had charges preferred against him , the court has remanded him in a custodial centre.
