9 Abducted Victims Rescued By Joint Security Team In Kebbi
A joint security team has rescued nine out of the ten people who were abducted in Kanya, Danko Wasagu Local Government, Kebbi State earlier in the week.
AbdurRahman Usman Zagga, Director of Security at the Cabinet Office, who announced this in a statement he issued in Birnin Kebbi and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday, had noted that one person still remained in captivity.
Zagga added that the security team engaged the bandits in a gunfight, and successfully rescued the victims while making efforts to rescue the last abductee.
He attributed the success of the operation to the unwavering support of Governor Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, who has consistently provided the necessary resources to enhance the security agencies’ effectiveness.
Governor Nasir Idris, he added, prioritizes the safety of lives and property of the people of Kebbi State by ensuring that security personnel are well-equipped with logistics, allowances, and other forms of support to carry out their duties effectively.
While commending the governor and the security agencies for this notable achievement, Zagga reassured the public that every effort was being made to secure the safe release of the remaining victim.
Sadly, he had since been found dead in the bush.
It is worth recalling that Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, had earlier pledged the state government’s commitment to rescuing the abducted residents. Upon receiving news of the incident, the governor expressed deep concern but assured the public that the government, in collaboration with security agencies, would work tirelessly to secure the release of all abducted individuals-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
