90-Year-Old Man Choked To Death  For Threatening To Reveal Those Who Stole Community Sculpture  In Ondo

A 90-year-old man ,  Mr Ajayi Ajisegiri, has been choked to death by his kinsmen for threatening to reveal those who stole the sculpture belonging to his community.

 Team@orientactualmags.com learned the incident was recorded in lrese , lfedore Local Government, Ondo state.

Two suspects; Dada Ologundundun, who is  71 years old and John Samson 27 years,  have since been arrested  and taken into custody by  the police.

 The deceased nonagenarian  was  until his death the  custodian  of the spiritual sculpture and also the head of hunters in the community.

The lifeless body of  Ajisegiri was found in his room in Oke Mission area of the town ,  one day after threatening to report the suspect to the whole community for stealing the community’s spiritual property called ‘Osho Osi Ode’.

The suspect’s landlady, Mrs Beatrice Ademeti, said  the nonagenarian  had  come to her house a day before the incident and told the suspect to return the community’s sculpture taken from his house or he would report him to the entire community.

The case had since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Akure, for further investigation.

Spokesperson for the police  in the state, Funmi Odunlami, has also confirmed that the incident was recorded in the town in question while two suspects have been arrested and taken into custody-Team@orientactualmags.com
