Port Harcourt Presidential Rally ‘ll No Longer Hold Tomorrow- PDP PCC
The Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council , Rivers State, has announced that the PDP presidential rally scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt tomorrow, February 14, 2023, has been postponed.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Lee Meaba, who spoke on behalf the campaign council in Port Harcourt on Monday, noted that the rally will no longer hold as planned because of security reasons.
Meaba said the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had informed members of the council that he does not want shedding of blood recorded in the state and will therefore prefer that the rally is suspended.
Chairman of the PDP presidential campaign council in Rivers state , Dr. Abiye Sekibo had his vehicle riddled with bullets when he was attacked in Port Harcourt a few days ago.
Sekibo had pointed the finger at policemen attached to the Rivers state Government House but Governor Nyesom Wike had denied the allegations.
It will be recalled that Governor Wike had initially refused to allow the use of Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium as venue of the rally but later allowed this claiming that some people were asked to plead with him.
Governor Wike is the leader of the PDP governors now popularly called G-5 governors, who had for months now expressed their dissatisfaction with former Senator Iyorchia Ayu’s continued stay in office and had later announced the formation of the ‘Integrity Group’.

Ayu is the National Chairman of the PDP.
Governor Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) had in November last year rose from a closed-door meeting to announce their decision not to campaign for the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar- Team@orientactualmags.com
