Osun APC  Blames  PDP  For Supporter’s Death In Ilesha

Osun state APC  on Saturday condemned the killing of one of its  members in Ward Nine, Irojo, Ilesa East Local Government, Mr  Ebenezer Alaro.

The APC had since pointed the finger at the PDP   and one of the party’s  reps candidates.

Alaro noted that as  the party resumes ward-to-ward rally in the constituency, Ebenezer , who was the driver of the Cabsta vehicle used by the APC candidates , was  reportedly chased to the front of his father’s house where he was shot dead  by hoodlums allegedly  led by ‘Bongo,’ a notorious thug in the community at about  1:00 p.m.

APC also alleged that the PDP bigwig in question was earlier seen at Irojo Junction of the ancient town surrounded by masked men wearing police uniform, who later allegedly went on rampage, an incident the party alleged had subsequently led to the killing of Ebenezer.

The party added that Ebenezer’s corpse was taken  to the  mortuary at the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesha while  the APC Woman Leader in Ward 9, Irojo, Ilesa East Local Government Council Area, popularly called  ‘Iya Ruka’  also had her shop vandalized.

 Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s campaign billboards and that of the other APC candidates from  Osunjela to Ilesa were also allegedly  destroyed by the rampaging thugs.

Commenting on this development, the Acting Chairman of the APC in Osun State, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi said the  alleged killing of the APC member by the PDP thugs was callous, wicked and inhuman. 

Lawal claimed that the life of a fellow human being means nothing to the leadership of the PDP in Osun state adding that  Dr Akindele Adekunle, who is the chairman of the state PDP,  had rushed to the press to distort  facts with regard to  the death of the APC member.

The APC has also urged the police to investigate Ebenezer’s death.

‘I sympathize  with the leaders and members of our party in Ilesa over the killing of one of them during the onslaught on  members of our party  in Ilesa yesterday.

The police should do their work and get to the root of the killing of our member by the PDP thugs.
