Ijesha APC Stalwarts Given 72 Hours To Send Imported Thugs Packing

A prominent indigene of Ilesha ,  Osun state, who is currently the Director-General of the Atiku-Okowa Campaign Council in Osun state, Honourable Sunday Bisi, has alleged that  some APC  bigwigs , who are co-indigenes of Ilesha ,  have  imported  thugs  from neighbouring states to cause mayhem and disrupt elections in the state.

He also alleged that the said thugs were made to have a safe haven in Ijesha land courtesy of the   APC  chieftains.

Hon Bisi, who is the immediate past state PDP chairman,  in a statement  made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday, said the plot to ignite unrest in Osun state to save the APC from an impending  humiliating election  loss  also involved  three other APC  bigwigs including candidates of the party.

‘We are disturbed and worried   as we alert Nigerians and the whole world of the dangerous plot by APC leaders to scuttle elections in Osun state’ he said.

Hon. Bisi , who noted  that one of the APC  chieftains involved  was recently granted bail following the discovery of dangerous weapons in his possession by security agents, warned that the PDP will resist any attempt by the APC to plunge Osun into crisis.

‘In the last few days, we have noticed the importation of thugs into Osun state by the APC and we were  informed of  the hotels in Osun East and other parts of the state where they have been lodged.

Our credible findings detailed that the daredevil hands have been prepared to unleash violence, intimidate innocent people, and target our members for attacks in order to scare them away from the polling booths. This quite explains the surge in attacks on PDP members, especially in Osun East, where many have had safety fears’ the statement said.

‘Our philosophy as a party is that power belongs to the people, and that is why we have been knocking on doors to persuade them to vote for us. If the APC thinks it can impose itself on the people through violence, then it is a mistake. 

For this reason, we will give the APC leaders 72 hours to remove all the hoodlums they have brought to Osun state, and failure to do this will make us left with no option than  to hand over their locations to security agencies so as to throw them out of our state’ the statement concluded- Team@orientactualmags.com
