Gov Bagudu To Citizens: Ensure Tinubu Gets More Votes In Kebbi Than Lagos


Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has urged voters in Kebbi state to ensure that the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shatima get more votes in the state than Lagos state.
‘In 2019, Kebbi state gave President Muhammadu Buhari over 581,000 votes, while Lagos state gave him about 580,000 votes.
This enviable feat should be replicated on Saturday and I humbly trust the people of Kebbi state that they will graciously do so’ he said.
Bagudu’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that the governor said this in Birnin Kebbi during the grand finale of the APC campaign rally on Wednesday.
The Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum noted that electing Tinubu and Shettima as president and Vice President respectively would bolster the unity and socioeconomic prosperity of the country.
‘This will help to attract more dividends of democracy to the North and Kebbi state in particular.
The last seven and a half years have been turbulent globally but Nigeria and Kebbi state have fared better.
This was all courtesy of the APC-led Federal Government and Kebbi state which should be sustained by massively voting for the party’s candidates from top to bottom’ Bagudu added.
He described Tinubu as a tested and trusted ally and a friend of the North, urging that he should be trusted and rewarded.
Governor Bagudu recalled Tinubu’s invaluable role in the formation of APC in 2014 and the emergence of Buhari as candidate as well as his eventual election victory in 2015 and 2019.
He called Tinubu and Shatima workaholics and core patriots who would take Nigeria to greater heights.
The governor urged the people of the state to peacefully come out en masse and cast their votes for all APC candidates.
‘After voting, we should all be patient and guard our votes. This is to ensure that our votes really count.
BVAS has been enhanced; the efficiency and speed of the voting process have improved. We should be patient, peaceful and persevering throughout the process’ Bagudu said.

He commended the Director General if the state APC Campaign Council, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari and other members of the campaign council for a diligent job while acknowledging the sustained support of the security and the media and other stakeholders in the state.
Kebbi state APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu said Bagudu and his predecessor, Alhaji Sa’idu Dakingari had evenly transformed the state while promising to transform Birnin Kebbi and make it become a modern state capital .
He promised to consolidate on their achievements while initiating more policies and programmes that will further empower women, young people and the vulnerable.
Idris, who said Kebbi state belongs to the APC, noted that ‘we should confirm this by making all our candidates get a landslide victory’
He urged Kebbi state voters to vote for Tinubu and other APC candidates while Dakingari also described the gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Nasiru Idris as the best man for the job .
The former governor urged the people of the state not to make a mistake that they will regret for the next four years.
Birnin Kebbi local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Sani Bello, the Deputy DG campaign Council, retired deputy comptroller general of Customs, Abubakar Gari Malam (Shatiman Gwandu , Alhaji Mansur Shehu, Alhaji Yusuf Haruna Rasheed, Special Adviser on Power, Hon Engr . Abdullahi Umar Muslim, Alhaji Abubakar Nayaya, Chairman of Local Government Service Commission and Alhaji Abubakar Chika Ladan in their separate speeches also thanked the people of Birnin Kebbi for coming out in large numbers to attend the event.
They urged them to vote for APC from top to bottom tomorrow.
Highlights of the event include open declaration of support for Kauran Gwandu and other APC candidates by the Yoruba association and the association of non- indigenes in Kebbi State.
