Media Reports Claiming Tinubu Chided Our Party Leaders At Abuja Meeting ‘Untrue’, ‘Fallacious’ –Osun APC
Ahead of the House of Assembly election scheduled to hold this weekend, Osun state APC has asked members and supporters of the party in the state to remain resolute and refuse to be cowed by what it called ‘propaganda machinery and copious threats of violence’ by the state PDP.
APC added that the PDP ‘is working in cahoots with Governor Ademola Adeleke’.
Acting State APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, noted that the series of falsehoods against the APC being churned out by the leadership of the state PDP ‘is an indication that they are pungently worried and rattled’.
Lawal said media reports claiming that the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, lampooned Osun state APC leaders over the presidential election outcome in the state was ‘a mere fabrication from the rumour mill of the PDP and a figment of the imagination of those spreading the mere composition scripted to confuse the people’.
The statement described the President-elect as a seasoned politician with candour , who is not given to frivolity to the extent of dragging his party through the mud as ‘it is the usual practice in the PDP’.
APC added that Governor Adeleke has wittingly thrown a stone at the colony of bees and it’s a must for him to expect ceaseless stinging by the displaced bees in the political affairs of the state.
The party warned caretaker chairman of the state PDP, Dr Akindele Adekunle, and those described as his co-travelers to desist from using falsehoods to drive political campaign of calumny against the APC.
Adekunle was also told to stop having an exaggerated notion of the popularity of Governor Adeleke saying ‘no responsible party would have anything worthy of attraction with a baggage full of unenviable notorious credentials of the governor’ .
The statement also called ‘the PDP of today in Osun’ ‘a product of political banditry’ alleging that the party was hijacked from its original owners by ‘the Ede country home cabal’.
The statement alleged that ‘the purported victory of PDP during the last presidential and national assembly elections’ was attained through the ‘thuggerisation’ of the entire state by hoodlums sponsored by the party.
‘It is necessary at this point to impress it on our members to troop out en masse to exercise their civic right in the house of Assembly election coming up this Saturday.
These PDP elements who have militarized and ‘thuggerised’ the Osun political space don’t have our number. We are more than them. Refuse to be cowed by their threat of violence. The day of reckoning is near for those social and political deviants troubling the peace of the state’ the statement said- Team@orientactualmags.com
