13th Quadrennial Delegates Conference:  Yaman Congratulates Kwara NLC , Promises To Be ‘Labour- Friendly’ If Elected Governor 

Kwara state PDP gubernatorial candidate , Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi, has congratulated the state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC,  for holding  a successful delegates conference.

The 13th Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the NLC was held in Ilorin on Tuesday. 

The PDP gubernatorial candidate in a statement  made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Spokesman,   Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, has promised to address the challenges highlighted by the outgoing Kwara NLC chairman, Alhaji Issa Ore. 

Yaman has also accused the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration  of allegedly  betraying workers in the state having failed to implement the N30,000 minimum wage as agreed with the labour union leaders. 

 The statement quoted Alhaji Ore  to have in his address during  the 12th Quadrennial Delegates Conference condemned  the non-implementation of N30,000.00 Minimum Wage/Consequential adjustment to Pensioners in the state and the Local Governments  as well as non-payment of accumulated outstanding gratuities at the Pension Boards, arising from inadequate provision of funds for the Boards to off-set gratuities.

Yaman lamented and questioned why any serious government will refuse to pay pensioners who had given so much to the state while in active service despite the available unprecedented resources .

The Kwara state PDP gubernatorial candidate  has also promised to grant the judiciary autonomy since Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq ‘is afraid to grant such important arms of the government their freedom’. 

Yaman also pledged to look into the non-Implementation of Weigh-in allowance to staff of Kwara State Council for Arts and Culture adding that he would also take needed steps towards appointing Senior Principals and Head Teachers as Tutors-General and Head Masters-General in the state while noting that he would respect due process.

‘I promise to be a governor for all and not for anyone’ Yaman said. 

He congratulated the new NLC  chairman  in  the state, Comrade Muritala Saheed Olayinka and other members of the State Administrative Council, SAC of the organized labour, for a well-deserved election victory urging them not to betray the confidence reposed in them by the workers- Team@orientactualmags.com
