Yobe Speaker Finally Loses Parliament Seat He Has Held Since 2003
Hon. Ahmed Lawan Mirwa , who had been a member of the Yobe state House of Assembly for twenty uninterrupted years, has finally lost his parliament seat.
Mirwa, who had been a member of the state House of Assembly since 2003, is currently the head of the state legislature.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Speaker Lawan Mirwa, who represents Nguru state constituency , was defeated by the PDP candidate, Musa Lawan Majakura.
Returning Officer for the House of Assembly election in Nguru state Constituency, Alhaji Mahdi Damatu while announcing the election results , noted that Musa Lawan Majakura got 6,648 votes, Ahmed Lawan Mirwa had 6,466 votes. Bukar Jatau of the NNPP got 23 votes, Mai Zare Idriss Idriss of the APM Party had 14 votes while Isah Sa’idu Shehu of the ADC got 30 votes- Team@orientactualmags.com
