Kwara Guber: Yaman Abdulahi Says He’s Weighing Up Options Before Taking Decision On Quitting Politics Or Not

Kwara Guber: Yaman Abdulahi Says He’s Weighing Up Options Before Taking Decision On Quitting Politics Or Not

Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdulahi , who was the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the governorship election held in Kwara state  on Saturday, 18 March 2023 , has disclosed that he is  currently weighing up his options and would be taking a decision on  whether  he would quit politics or not.

Yaman , who said he would keep the decision  on whether he would continue to engage  in politics or not  to himself for now, added that he would be returning to Kaduna state to  oversee his business entities.

It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on Sunday declared Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of the APC winner of the 2023 Kwara state gubernatorial election.

The APC  candidate had  273,424 votes,  PDP candidate got 155,490 votes  while the SDP   candidate that came  a distant third  had  18,922 votes.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned Yaman , who said this while talking to journalists in Ilorin on Monday, had noted that he had taken a break from a series of meetings with   the PDP members.

He also said he will not congratulate Governor Abdulrazaq on  his election victory, alleging that the   gubernatorial election was marred by electoral malpractices.

‘For the fact that political thugs were engaged by them calls for concern among Nigerians, especially, among our people and relevant stakeholders. Voter apathy in the last governorship election was far greater than before, while the number of voters was greater than the presidential election. And I think INEC has questions to answer on the electoral process too. Security forces were used against the  people and I wouldn’t know if they are real security agents while the APC  also monetized the elections. Our collation offers were chased away in many places’ he said.

Alhaji Yaman urged   PDP members and supporters in the state to keep hope alive, praying that God will repay their good intentions with good rewards.

‘The spirit that keeps us together  should be kept alive. God will not repay your good intentions with  bad things. We need to recover from the dark evil. We cannot afford to be led by incompetent and people who do not know what to do to lead. One day, our efforts would be beneficial to us or our children.

Kwara will rise up again and our group will thrive. This is a moment to retreat and ponder. This is not the end. Let’s prepare for the battle ahead. It’s not over yet’ he said- Team@orientactualmags.com
