Appeal Court Verdict:   It’s Temporary Setback, Keep Hope Alive, Osun APC Tells Members, Supporters

Appeal Court Verdict:   It’s Temporary Setback, Keep Hope Alive, Osun APC Tells Members, Supporters

Osun state APC has urged members and supporters of the party in the state to keep hope alive.

The acting state  APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal in a statement issued   in Abuja and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi noted that  the state APC would study the Court of Appeal  judgment that overruled  the Osun state Election Petition Tribunal and upheld Governor Ademola Adeleke;s election victory and immediately proceed to the next constitutional means of seeking justice – the Supreme Court.

Lawal ,who noted that though the development recorded on Friday was painful, however  submitted  that this would never make his party  resort to any unconstitutional means to achieve justice in the prevailing situation.

He enjoined  members and supporters of the APC to continue to exhibit  the ethos of Omoluabi in their actions and inactions irrespective of provocation from those who do not share the ideal of the progressive party.

‘As a law-abiding party which prioritizes the rule of law, we shall pursue this matter to the Supreme Court with a view to ensuring that justice is served.

Members and supporters of our party should not be despaired over the judgment as it’s a mere temporary setback which would be redressed in due course.

I want to assure our members and supporters that their association with our party will not be an effort in futility as everything legally possible shall be put into motion to seek redress in the prevailing circumstance.

While I am also appreciating the efforts of our legal team led by Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN in coming this far, I am optimistic that we shall laugh last in our pursuit.

It is also necessary to remind our people that a governorship election is a process of which its litigation aspect is in three segments one of which was what we have witnessed today.

The long and short of my sermon is that we shall meet Adeleke, the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the Supreme Court’ the statement added- Team@orientactualmags.com
