Abducted Osun Ogboni Chief’s Wife, Rasheedat, Regains Freedom

Mrs. Rasheedat Olakisan, who was abducted in Imesi-Ile, Osun state last week Sunday, has regained her freedom.
It will be recalled that Rasheedat’s husband, who was until his death a few days ago, the Head of Ogboni Aborigine Fraternity Worldwide , and also the Awise Iwase Of Yoruba Land , Oba Adetoyese Olakisan , had sadly died in the car crash recorded on Ila-Edemonsi- Imesi-Ile Road on the same day she was kidnapped along with a co-wife.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that though security agents were promptly informed of the incident and they had begun to take necessary steps, however, as the family head, Oba Adetoyese Olakisan had apparently considered it a moral obligation to get involved and monitor things, he took a decision to join the security agents on the trail of the abductors of his wives, unfortunately , he passed on to the great beyond in the process.
While her co-wife had escaped from the gunmen last week Monday, Rasheedat had remained in captivity until a combined team of cops and Kiriji Heritage Defenders attacked where she was being held at Aba Panu in Ekiti state, and rescued her on Saturday.
Director General of Kiriji Heritage Defenders, Dr. Ademola Ekundayo, said the abductors had demanded N2 million ransom and some items including milk, energy drinks, cigarettes and a phone voucher.
‘Their base is after Oke-Imesi along Ikoro-Ekiti road very close to Osun bridge. We rescued her in the forest close to Aba Paanu. We went to the forest where they hid her, we successfully rescued her without paying the abductors any money late on Saturday.
Men of Kiriji Heritage Defenders were used as bait. Policemen were also involved. They asked us to buy 5 cartons of energy drinks, one roll of cigarettes, one carton of milk, recharge cards, malt among others.
Two of our boys went there to deliver the ransom and we mounted surveillance around the area. They shot at us and after an exchange of gunfire, they abandoned her, and we rescued her.
She is currently being treated in a hospital. Her abductors are Fulani men, and they have a base in that area. They have their cattle there’ he said- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us? Do you want us to cover your event or programme?
