Shuaib Oyedokun Pens Tribute To Beloved ‘Moremi’ Justina Ogundoyin
Former PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, has penned emotional tribute to late Chief Mrs. Justina Ogundoyin noting that she would be sorely missed.
In a piece made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun remembered the role the deceased politician and businesswoman played during the second republic in the old Oyo state, submitting that such a role was similar to that of the Yoruba heroine, Moremi.
Mrs. Tina Ogundoyin died last month after a short illness. She was aged 63 . Chief (Mrs.) Ogundoyin is survived by four children; Adesoji, Adebo ( current Speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly), Adetoye and Aderemi and she was until her death , the Iyaloja General of Ibarapaland.

She successfully climbed the ladder of life from the lowest humble rung to the very dignifying top via the instrumentality of humility and diligence.
Behold a lady at a tender age; some 40 years ago acted with integrity and honesty and refused an enticing financial inducement in order to foster peace in the old Oyo state, during a cut- throat competition between two strong political parties,; the UPN as the ruling party at the state level and the opposition NPN controlling the centre.
She acted a ‘Moremi’ Bravo!!!
I have our highly respected Dr Saka Balogun ,the then Presidential Liaison Officer, PLO, as a living witness. Others were the late businessman, Chief Ade Ogundoyin, who later got married to her, late Abdul Salam Olatunji Mohammed. Minority Leader, late Afolabi Agboola of Sepeteri and others including myself as State Secretary.
We were all ‘field operators’ for our ‘political Field Marshals’, Chief Akinloye, Chief Akinjide, Alhaji Shehu Shagari and others..
We all lived thenceforth to cherish this her brave role to protect a noble cause as secretary of the women section of the Youth Wing of the NPN
May her soul rest in peace’ he wrote.
Chief Shuaib Oyedokun, who was the Secretary to old Oyo state Government under Dr Omololu Olunloyo , later served as National Deputy Chairman (South) of the PDP during President Olusegun Obasanjo administration.
