NYCN Lauds Gov Ademola Adeleke’s Development Strides
The Osun state chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) which is the umbrella body of all youth organizations in the country, has lauded Governor Ademola Adeleke’s development strides in his five months in office.
The organization added that Governor Adeleke had in his first 100 days in office redirected government’s efforts towards meeting the needs of the people.
Osun state NYCN in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the Chairman of its Caretaker Committee, Comrade Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi said the governor had within 100 days made remarkable progress with regard to social and infrastructural developments.
The organization declared its support for the governor submitting that it was optimistic that the state will in no small measure witness unprecedented development in Adeleke’s first term in office.
NYCN added that the governor had on taking office took a bold step by making provision for potable water in each of the 333 wards in the state and also constructed 20-kilometre roads across the state.
The organization added that the present administration under Governor Adeleke’s leadership also presented the sum of N518 million to 40 communities for infrastructure development.
‘Under the Imole surgical and medical outreach, 2,000 persons in each of the nine federal constituencies in the state have benefited from free medical care.
This was in addition to the enrollment of 3,000 indigenes on the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS).
Our findings showed that the governor had on taking office made provision for transformers and other electrical materials in communities without electricity which is an ongoing project.
Adeleke had started the payment of salaries and pension arrears from January 2016, owed by the past administrations.
In a bid to ensure food security in the state, our governor has also approved subsidies on fertilizers and other farm inputs for farmers in the state.
He has been giving bond cheques to the contributory pensioners in the state. He has started since March 10.
Osogbo/Ikirun/Ilaodo Kwara road is another point of reference., immediately he assumed office, the governor mobilized contractors back to the site and we are very proud of the marvelous state of that road. Actually, residents of Ikirun are very happy about this development
