The Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic , Offa, Mr Adetunji Oni , is dead.
The Governing Council of the institution announced his death on Thursday in a statement by Mr Olayinka Iroye, who is the Director of Information and Protocols.
The statement noted that burial plans for Oni would be announced later.
‘The Governing Council regrets to announce the untimely death of the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Mr Adetunji Oni, who died early this morning after a protracted illness.
He is survived by wife and children.
May God grant the Polytechnic and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Details concerning his burial will be announced soon’ he said.
The deceased, who became the 4th substantive Registrar of the institution in November 2019, succeeded Alhaji Abdulrahim Raji.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Oni, who is from the Ekiti –speaking axis of Kwara state, had been ill for months now while a Deputy Registrar had carried out the functions and responsibilities of the Registrar’s office.
He however returned to office a few months ago, and it was good news to co-workers but sadly his state of health deteriorated and he eventually lost the fight for his life- Team@orientactualmags.com
