Abducted Kogi Monarch Dies In Captivity
A traditional ruler in Kogi state ,Chief David Obadofin, has reportedly died in captivity.
He was until his death, the traditional ruler of Aghara, Kabba-Bunu Local Government.
The Aghara monarch, who was abducted 12 days ago, died after being tortured by the kidnappers .
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the abductors had agreed to collect N2m ransom to release Obadofin and another victim, Temidayo Elewa when they noticed that the Aghara monarch was becoming too weak.
Chief Obadofin was said to have died before the ransom could be delivered to his abductors in the bush while Elewa, who was abducted along with the Aghara monarch, had since regained her freedom and reunited with her family.
The late Aghara monarch, a major cashew farmer and Temidayo Elewa, were abducted by unknown gunmen on Easter Monday at his farm in Aghara , Kabba-Bunu LGA at about 11pm.
The abductors had earlier demanded N60m ransom while a farmhand, Madam Toyin Onare, who is a widow, was killed during the attack-Team@orientactualmags.com
