TAF Africa Chairman Commends PDP For Being The 1st Party In Africa To Produce Governor Who’s Albino
Chairman of The All Rights Foundation (TAF Africa) which was formerly called the Albino Foundation , Mr Jake Epelle , has commended the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for being the first political party to produce a governor that is an albino.
Epelle noted that Mr. Umo Eno, the Governor-elect of Akwa Ibom state, would be the first governor that is an albino not only in Nigeria, but in Africa.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned he said this during his visit to the PDP national secretariat in Abuja.
Epelle also thanked the PDP for nominating Alhaji Isah Liman Kantigi, a person living with disability, as governorship candidate in Niger state in the governorship election held on March 18 .
He however noted that the Foundation would have extended the facilitation of international recognition to Kantigi like they had done for Eno if TAF had known that he was the guber candidate in Niger state.
The Foundation also said it was impressed by the level of inclusiveness given to women and persons with disabilities by the PDP and called on other parties to emulate the main opposition party.
Responding, PDP Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Damagum said as a deliberate policy, the PDP gives opportunity to PWDs in all its activities, promising that the party ‘is ready to do more’-Team@orientactualmags.com
