Kwara PDP Calls Shutdown Of Radio Kwara By NBC  ‘Disgraceful’…Poses 10 Questions

Kwara PDP Calls Shutdown Of Radio Kwara By NBC   ‘Disgraceful’…Poses 10 Questions

Kwara state Peoples Democratic party (PDP)  said on Friday that the revocation of the broadcasting license of the Kwara state Broadcasting Corporation by the National Broadcasting Corporation, NBC, for  failing to pay  license renewal fees came as a  surprise to the party and other  well- meaning Kwarans.

The state PDP  submitted  in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its Publicity Secretary, Hon Tunji Morounfoye that the ruling APC had once again,  shown what it called  ‘another level of their traitorous and incompetent dealings with Kwarans’.

‘We at the PDP are not surprised at the new low that the Kwara state APC regime has descended to.

As we see one of the paid faceless, media agents of the Kwara state APC regime trying unsuccessfully to exonerate the regime by putting the blame on Prince ‘Tunji Moronfoye in respect of the inadequacies of their regime through their usual, viral, untraceable, buck passing, propaganda mongering write-ups.

Consequently, the Kwara APC party regime has again forgotten, that they are not the opposition that  they were pre-2019, as we see a switch to their default settings, which are vile lies and putrid Propaganda.

Sadly, Kwarans have been saddled with a Mediocre regime that has no interest whatsoever in the development of Kwara state but in the lining of their bottomless pit, pockets’ the party said.

Kwara state PDP also posed ten questions to the ruling APC.

‘When did the Kwara state APC regime discover that the license renewal fees were unpaid, was it sequel to the ban by the National broadcasting Commission (NBC) or long before today?

The NBC in their press statement, where the Kwara state broadcasting corporation’s license was revoked, mentioned that they had reached out to all erring organizations a few months ago, how come Kwarans were not informed of the fact that there was a backlog of license renewal fees payment then?

If I was involved in any wrong doing, during my tenure as Commissioner for Information and Communications, why weren’t Kwarans informed immediately the Kwara state APC’s incompetent regime was notified of the backlog of licensing fees payment, three months ago or better still when they took over power in 2019?

The Kwara state APC party regime is quite notorious for not buying ordinary  electricity units for the prepaid meters at Government facilities, like the water works unless the Kwara state ‘sole Administrator’ gives his personal approval, how is the NBC licensing fees renewal payment any different?

How come the current Commissioner for Communication , Mr. ‘Bode Towoju, stated on a WhatsApp platform; “Tabloid”, that the APC state regime already paid 10 million Naira in their bid to offset the total amount owed the NBC just today, as the news of the disgraceful license revocation broke?

How come in this disgraceful saga of the Kwara state Broadcasting Corporation license revocation, we are not even privy to the total amount owed the NBC by the Kwara state government?

How come only the Kwara state Radio Corporation (Radio Kwara) broadcasting license was revoked, and the Kwara state Television spared?

We would encourage Kwarans to keep asking the corruption- infused, opaque Kwara APC party regime, uncomfortable questions about our collective patrimony.

Questions like;

Where is the list, location and Bills of Quantities (BOQ’s) of the over 600 ‘phantom renovated’ State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) schools with our 14 Billion Naira?

Where is Mr. Abass Abdulrazaq  the runaway transformer supply contractor, that made away with over 138 million Naira of our collective patrimony for over 14 months, without a Bank Guarantee for the almost 200 million naira transformers supply contract signed?

Where is the list of ‘phantom’ beneficiaries of the scandalous ‘Kwarapreneur 1 & 2 empowerment initiative’ ; their local government areas, and the contact details?  Kwara PDP submitted-  Team@orientactualmags.com
