Woman Who Called Townsman ‘Impotent’, Slammed With Lawsuit In Kaduna
A middle-aged woman, Hassana Yohanna, has been slammed with lawsuit and she has appeared before George Gwani of the Upper Customary Court , Kafanchan, Kaduna state.
She had gotten in the soup after allegedly calling a townsman, Jibrin Sawuta, ‘impotent’.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Yohanna is facing charges bordering on intentional insult, defamation and criminal intimidation which are contrary to sections 312, 371 and 376 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law.
In a direct criminal complaint filed by Sawuta, he alleged that he was chatting with friends at the palace of the village head ‘Fadan Kagoma’, when he received information that his brother has been arrested by the police.
On getting to the police station, the defendant reportedly emerged from nowhere and started hurling insults at him, saying he has become sterile and has no child.
Yohanna , who pleaded not guilty, prayed the court to grant her bail which was however opposed by Sawuta.
In his ruling, the presiding judge, George Gwani set the defendant’s bail at N30, 000 and one surety who must be a district head within the jurisdiction of the court.
He later adjourned the case until June 19 to enable the complainant present witnesses to prove his case-Team@orientactualmags.com
