Gov Nasir Idris Promises Completion Of ‘State Secretariat’ Project
The governor of Kebbi state, Comrade Nasir Idris, who is the Kauran Gwandu, has promised to ensure completion of the ongoing State Secretariat Project in Gwadangwaji, Birnin Kebbi.
The project was initiated by the Dakingari administration in 2012, it was re-awarded by the Abubakar Atiku Bagudu administration, but was later abandoned by the contractor.
Dr Nasir’s media aide, Mr. Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that the governor said this on Saturday during his inspection visit to the project site as part of efforts to ensure that it is brought to completion being one of his campaign promises.
‘It is part of the projects I have inherited and I have assured the Kebbi state workers through the Head of Service that when I come, I am going to complete the Secretariat project.
That is why we have come to see things by ourselves so that we will sit down with the Ministry of Works and the Office of the HoS to see how best we can agree with the contractor to come back to the site’ he said.

The governor added that the project ‘is very important’ and the state government cannot in anyway toy with it.
‘ This Secretariat is very important to us, this project is a very big project.
Therefore, I am assuring the workers that we have inspected the project and we are going to complete it’ he added.
The statement also noted that the governor was accompanied by former governor Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, who served as Director-General of Kebbi state APC campaign Council ahead of the recently held General Election, and Alhaji Abubakar Gari Malam , Deputy Director General of the campaign Council.
