I’m Happy To Have Egbetokun As My Successor-Former IGP Baba Usman

Mr. Usman Baba Alkali, who was until yesterday , Monday ,  June 19 , 2023,  the Inspector General of Police , has disclosed that he ‘is happy’ to have Mr. Kayode Egbetokun as his successor.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned he said this after attending the rank wearing ceremony of the nation’s new police chief at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday.

Baba Alkali was appointed as Inspector General of Police by former president Muhammadu Buhari on April 6, 2021.

 ‘It’s a stage; you come, you work, and you go. I’m happy that I am handing over to somebody that will carry the mantle of leadership from where I have stopped’ he told state house correspondents.

‘We grew on the job; we did this together. I was his boss at a time, not even when I was IG; he worked under me twice; we’ve been working together. And I know he can champion the cause of policing’ Baba Alkali also submitted when asked if he knows his successor very well-Team@orientactualmags.com
